Millions struggle every day to enjoy a life of holistic wellness and flourishing
5 million women and girls are victims of sex trafficking globally. They are being denied their human right to live a life of peace and purpose.
At the same time, 51 million Americans battle mental health issues annually including depression, anxiety, and sleep disorders. In a different way, these individuals are struggling to find peace and purpose.
The costs of both forms of oppression are significant for individuals and societies. Whether it's the opportunity cost of NOT investing in the human potential of millions of women and girls, or the $210 billion in economic losses due to mental health issues among American workers, when individuals suffer, the world suffers.
Meet Savhera: A new beginning for you and her
Savhera’s full line of premium aromatherapy products improve your mental hygiene while also advancing holistic restoration for sex trafficking survivors. Our pure and organic aromatherapy products help people struggling with various stressors renew their hearts and minds while also creating renewal for underserved women who desperately need an opportunity to realize their full human potential. Our products provide an all-natural, holistic solution for people in need.
Organic aromatherapy that helps you live well and do good
Savhera’s full suite of organic aromatherapy products offer a range of aromatic benefits and diffusing options. Our pure essential oil blends are a fool-proof way to target specific issues, whether it’s sleep, headaches, or fatigue, and our line of diffusers provide creative ways to inhale the aromas. Whether it’s an electric mister, an oil burner, or even jewelry made of polymer clay, we offer all the accessories you need to benefit from aromatherapy in your home, office, car, or even on your person.
At Savhera, we know that not all essential oils are created equal. In fact, the majority of essential oils in the market are laced with synthetic ingredients that jeopardize the quality and health benefits of the essential oils for both people and the planet. That’s why we provide our customers with a quality guarantee that we call our P.E.T.A.L.S. Promise. From planting the seeds in organic soil to sending the package in recycled packaging, we take quality and sustainability seriously.
The “T” in our PETALS Promise stands for “testing.” Every batch of oil is third-party tested to ensure it is 100% pure and contains no pollutants, adulterants, contaminants, or diluents. Our test results are available on our website for every batch of oil so that our customers can purchase with confidence.
10x gross revenue projected by 2025
Savhera currently has three primary revenue streams: e-commerce, retail partnerships, and markets. Savhera's products are available on our own e-commerce platform, as well as several third-party e-commerce platforms, including Amazon, DoneGood, and BuyGoodFeelGood. Our focus on building strong retail partnerships has allowed us to hold shelf-space in 24 retail stores in 12 different states, and increasing every day. We also sell our products at strategic in-person markets and pop-up shops that attract significant foot-traffic and help raise brand awareness among our target demographic.
Savhera's success had been largely organic, with sales driven primarily from email marketing, press coverage, and social media engagement. Other marketing efforts include digital advertising, affiliate marketing, and strategic partnerships. We invest in paid digital advertising to accelerate growth of the direct-to-consumer revenue stream. Over the 2020 holiday season, we experienced a 168% ROI from digital advertising. In January 2021, Savhera launched an affiliate program to engage in influencer marketing which has already seen significant returns. Finally, we partnered with several subscription boxes in 2020, including CauseBox, FaithBox, and Goddess Provisions Box, which enabled us to introduce our products to a combined 85,000 consumers while still making a profit.
We know that education is of utmost importance for products like ours. This is why we will continue to produce excellent educational content like our Essential Oils 101 booklet and our DIY instructional videos. These provide bite-sized educational content not only for our D2C customers, but also for our retail partners nationwide.
58% increase in D2C revenue from Q4 2019-Q4 2020 + 83% increase from Q1 2020-Q1 2021
In our first year, Savhera gained significant traction in the market, despite a 3 month lockdown of our India manufacturing facility and a global recession due to COVID-19. As such, Savhera has proven itself to be a recession-proof business. From Q4 2019 to Q4 2020, we saw a 58% increase in D2C product sales, with an additional 58% increase from Q1 2020 to Q2 2020. This growth demonstrates an increased demand for natural aromatherapy products that “do good” even amidst a global pandemic and economic recession.
Savhera was the 2020 recipient out of thousands of applicants for a $29,000 grant from Amber Grants for Women-Owned Businesses. In addition, Savhera was selected for the accelerator program through the Miller Center for Social Entrepreneurship at Santa Clara University, a program accepting only 12% of applicants.
In a very short period of time, Savhera has cultivated a loyal customer base from across the U.S. who are motivated by a combination of the quality of our products and the purpose behind the business.
Holistic wellness with social impact
Savhera actively targets four exploding industries, and our premium product line and social impact business model uniquely position us to own significant market share. Our focus on organic and holistic wellness for all stakeholders--customers, employees, and the earth—differentiates us from competitors who market their products as wellness or organic or social impact, but without a commitment to all three. In the growing aromatherapy and holistic wellness landscape, Savhera’s premium products and steadfast dedication to people, planet, and purpose is what will continue to set us apart.
A $40.5 billion addressable market
Savhera is uniquely positioned at the intersection of three growing industries: essential oils ($15 billion by 2025), organic personal care ($25.11 billion by 2025), and aromatherapy ($500 million). This is a total addressable market of $40.5 billion.
However, Savhera is not a business as usual. It is a for-profit social enterprise at a time when consumers are increasingly concerned about aligning their purchases with their values. Demand for socially-conscious businesses is exploding, and the social enterprise market is anticipated to reach $500 billion by 2025. Between our USDA certified organic products, our B-Corp status, and our affiliations with the Freedom Business Alliance and Social Enterprise Alliance, Savhera is prepared to compete in a growing market by differentiating itself as a values-driven social impact company.
A global wellness brand that facilitates holistic human flourishing
Savhera has aggressive growth plans over the next five years that allow us to simultaneously scale our business and social impact at the same time. We will increase sales through retail partnerships and creative digital advertising campaigns while we increase our social impact through vertically-integrating our supply chain and building our own manufacturing facility. Ultimately, our vision is to build a global wellness brand that facilitates holistic human flourishing for all stakeholders.
Given that Savhera's employees are central to our mission, we measure our performance not only by economic indicators, but also social indicators including the impact Savhera has on improving the our employees' lives. We operationalize this through our proprietary P.I.E.S. Human Flourishing Model which is a systematic yet flexible model of holistic health and wellness that monitors and evaluates individual empowerment, relational growth, and collective flourishing across the physical, intellectual, economic, and spiritual dimensions of life. Our vision for holistic flourishing is realized through implementation of the P.I.E.S. Model. We are in the process of publishing this model, which will also serve as the basis for increased educational content as we build out that platform.
It is a privilege to build a company that improves the lives of its customers while also transforming the lives of its workers. We are humbled that this vision of holistic human flourishing is already being realized in the lives of our employees, one of whom expressed, "I tried to escape the brothel but I couldn’t; they beat me so badly. At Savhera I am free!"
